I've been looking around and found some good open source php scripts that provide a means to upload various files, such as minutes of a meeting, flyers etc to a web server and additional scripts to display the content of a directory on a web server so visitors can download those files. These scripts have had to be bolted together to work but I thought this would be a great product that jabbers could excel at and improve upon. So my suggestion is to include in your products a script where files can be uploaded and dynamically shown on a web page. the script would include the options to have multiple users, allow for various types of files to be shown even if uploaded, so for example, you could upload a pdf document bit not want to allow its logo to be displayed or add your own logo for that file so if its a document about ducks, you could also upload an image of a duck for that file or only have a link to download. You could set the download page on the web server to allow for logins to be required for closed groups and public groups for the "front end" and also allow for the files to be downloaded to have description text to explain what the file is to the visitor plus file sizes, dates etc.

I could see this being very useful for community groups that need to have documents available to the public, town councils, again for public access to minutes etc, businesses and a whole range of other organizations and this would take the requirement for web admins to carry out these functions and allow those group users to have access to a script to carry out those functions. If you need to see a working example let me know.

Kind regards
