1. What do I need to use this web poll?
In order to run the MySQL based Web Poll your web server needs to support PHP v4 or more and MySQL v3 or more.
2. Does it have an installation script?
Yes, there is an installation script which will automatically install the Web Poll for you. All you have to do is to edit configuration file using text editing software such as notepad and set the correct login details for your MySQL server. When executed the installation script will ask you to confirm the MySQL login details and if they are correct will create the 3 MySQL database tables that it needs.
3. I cannot install it, can you please help me?
Yes, we offer free installation support. Please, make sure that your server supports PHP and MySQL before trying to install the script.
4. Is it difficult to create a web poll? How do I do this?
Once you install the web poll all you have to do is to login your administration area. Via a web form you can create a web poll and save it. Once you do this an HTML code will be generated for you. You should put this HTML code on your web page.
5. How many web polls can I have per page?
You can create unlimited amount of web polls. Each poll that you generate has its own unique HTML code which you should use.
6. On how many web sites can I use the poll?
You can install the web poll script on as many web sites as you want. However, you cannot resell the script. If you want to sell this script please contact us and we will discuss all the options.
7. Can I change the poll colors?
Yes, you can create unlimited amount of color sets and then when creating a poll you can apply these color sets. The poll uses HTML color codes which you can also select using the small pop-up next to each color code box.
8. Can I change poll size?
Yes you can change poll width. Web Poll dynamically calculates the size needed for the question and answers boxes. When you create a poll and enter a 100 characters long answer the poll calculates that it will need 2 lines for that answer. It automatically changes the poll height of the poll background. However, when generating a poll you will have to adjust the poll height so only the poll background fits in it and there is no white space below it.
9. How do I change the username and password for my administration area?
You can edit the poll-options.php file using a plain text editing software such as notepad and change your login details.
10. Do you make custom changes?
Yes, we can make any custom change to the administration area. Such as: multi user login, detailed vote statistic, poll editing/deleting restrictions for different users, etc. If you need a custom change do not hesitate to contact us.
11. What is included with the package that I buy?
When buying the poll you receive - configuration file, installation file, administration file, voting file, flash (.swf) file and a help file.
12. Do you offer a refund?
Before buying the poll please make sure that your web server supports PHP and MySQL. The administration area and the web poll are absolutely the same as the ones that you are going to buy. We sell the source code for the administration area and .swf file (files needed to create a web poll) and this is why we usually do not offer refunds. However, in special cases (for some reason unable to load the poll on server which supports PHP and MySQL) we issue refunds.
