1. What do I need to use this StarsRate voting script?

In order to run the StarsRate voting script your web server needs to support PHP v4.1 or more and MySQL v3 or more.

2. Does it have an installation script?

Yes, there is an installation script which will automatically install the StarsRate for you. All you have to do is to edit it using text editing software such as notepad and set the correct login details for your MySQL server. You will also have to do this for the stars-rate-admin.php and stars-rate.php files. Then you should upload the files on your web site and open starsrate-install.php using your web browser. The installation script will ask you to confirm the MySQL login details and if they are correct will create the 2 MySQL database tables that it needs.

3. I cannot install it, can you please help me?

Yes, we offer free installation support. Please, make sure that your server supports PHP and MySQL before trying to install the script.

4. Is it difficult to set up the StarsRate voting script? How do I do this?

Once you install the StarsRate all you have to do is to login your administration area. Via a web form you can create a new item that people will vote on. A new HTML code will be generated for each item you add. You should put this HTML code on your web page.

5. On how many web sites can I use the StarsRate?

You can install the StarsRate voting script on as many web sites as you want. However, you cannot resell the script. If you want to sell this script please contact us and we will discuss all the options.

6. Can I change StarsRate size?

StarsRate size depends on amount of stars used for each item. For each star it needs 20 pixels. So if you create a StarsVote item and use 5 stars the width should be set to at least 100 pixels.

7. How do I change the username and password for my administration area?

You can edit the stars-rate-admin.php file using a plain text editing software such as notepad and change your login details.

8. Do you make custom changes?

Yes, we can make any custom change to the script. If you need a custom change do not hesitate to contact us.

9. Do you offer a refund?

Before buying the script please make sure that your web server supports PHP and MySQL. The administration area and the StarsRate voting script are absolutely the same as the ones that you are going to buy. We sell the source code for the administration area and .swf file (files needed to use the polling script) and this is why we usually do not offer refunds. However, in special cases (for some reason unable to load the script on server which supports PHP and MySQL) we issue refunds.
