16 Sep Installation Posted by Steve | Product: Simple CMS | 3 Comments
can I install Simple CMS to my website even if it is not live yet? Example, I have started to construct the site under www.mysite.com/demo but want to install simple cms and do the content with the uploader, is this possible or must I first publish the website before installing simple cms, also, the installation of Simple CMS, can it be straight into the public_html or must it be in a folder under public_html??

Your help will be appreciated.

You need to install the Simple CMS script under a folder on your website. If you install it

www.mysite.com/script/

you can use it on any page from your website even if pages are in /demo/ folder. Once you move the files to the website root folder it should be working just fine.
