Will I need .htaccess to set up this script? Yahoo! doesn't offer any access to the .htaccess at all.
If I do need access to this, is there any type of work around where I could get a script like this that will work with my hosting?

the only workaround is to have the URLs like
yourdomain.com/index.php?keyword=test1
yourdomain.com/index.php?keyword=test2
yourdomain.com/index.php?keyword=test3
etc....
where test1, test2, test3 are different keywords that you want to use
